A priest in the Episcopal Church, I am currently serving as the rector of Church of the Epiphany-Tempe. In the past, I served as the mission developer and church planter for The Episcopal Church in Parker County, and I started my ordained ministry serving at Saint Michael and All Angels in Dallas, Texas. I have been serving at Church of the Epiphany-Tempe since 2018.
Beyond parish ministry, I have served on Commissions on Ministry in the dioceses in which I have served (Episcopal Church in North Texas and Arizona), and I have served on the board of directors for Amistad Mission in Bolivia. Currently, I serve on the board of Arizona Career Pathways and am heavily involved in the work of Valley Interfaith Project.
Within The Episcopal Church, I have continued to be involved with the church planting and mission development ministries of the church. Primarily, I have served as a staff member on discernment retreats for those discerning a call to starting a new Episcopal community or a call to redevelopment work in existing parishes.
In 2022, I completed the training to be a Gallup CliftonStrengths Coach and am working towards full certification as a strengths coach. Strengths-based coaching focuses on where you are naturally talented as God has created you and invites us to consider where we are naturally gifted as the place we should invest our time and energy for growing into the fullness of who God creates us to be. If you are interested in a strengths-based coach, you can schedule time with me by visiting my calendar page.
As I continue my faith journey, I invite you to come along with me. A journey is not complete without travel companions. Let’s journey together as we continue to learn and grow in our relationship with God.
In Christ’s Peace,
Hunter
